I love the variety of communication options in Moodle :-)
It’s interesting of course that in some scenarios, for certain courses, teachers will find each of these methods have different strengths and weaknesses.
Personally I don’t like messages popping up while I’m working on detailed course design.
By the same token I love forums, because I know how to setup, manage, and view - which many teachers and students struggle with initially.
And now push notifications to Moodle Mobile App open new opportunities :-)
