E-learning in WordPress guide, part 1
Can you use WordPress for e-learning?
Everyone reading this probably knows I am a huge Moodle, H5P, and Big Blue Button / Zoom supporter. And most of the time I would say if you want a professional level e-learning provision then that’s the best combination.
But sometimes, you might for example have a well developed WordPress site, and have a modest e-learning requirement, so integrating e-learning courses into WordPress might be less overhead, and give you enough for your needs.
With the above in mind, I’m going to review some of the best options for using WordPress as an e-learning option; as a Learning Management System.
Starting next month, I’ll be picking the top 10 options for you to consider, and thinking about the pro’s and con’s of each.

- Teachable
- LearnPress
- WP Courseware
- Sensei
But I’ll be starting off by looking at how H5P can be used within WordPress – because that may be “all you need” in fairly simple settings, and yet it can be a really great experience for learners on your WordPress site.
