Articulate Storyline is an industry favourite for creating interactive course content….It’s simple enough for beginners, yet powerful enough for experts, and it lets you create virtually any interaction you can imagine, in minutes. You can create and deliver mobile and accessible content with cool interactivity.

Here at ElearningWorld we like to promote FOSS (Free and Open Source Software) and Articulate Storyline is certainly neither of these things(!). Prices range from a single individual user working in education (US$499) to a full commercial license (>US$2,000). So it is not cheap for sure. However, it is firmly established as the market leader in it’s field, and anything else is simply a second best option right now.

Whether you need the type of content it can create is debatable. Certainly for corporate organisations and commercial training it can deliver polished and professional content. At the other end of the spectrum, for a school or school teacher the cost and learning curve are prohibitive. However, for many of us, who lie somewhere between these two scenario’s, it’s worth considering if the investment, both time and money, can be worthwhile. Often they can be.

There is a 60 day free trial available, so it could be worth setting some time aside, starting the trial, and seeing how far you can get in 3 months?

It probably goes without saying, but Storyline content can be included in your Moodle site and courses very easily, and accessed using a browser or the Moodle Mobile App.
