Indeed Stuart.  The thing is with this change is that not only will you be able to create as many sections as you want, but be initially restricted to the number set by the administrator when creating the course in the first place.  Thus only able to add more, one by one, after the course has been created.  Would still have been better to keep the &#039;maxsections&#039; setting, at least on creation.  Actually given your point, then &#039;maxsections&#039; should not have been removed in the first place - my original argument.  Thus down to the administrator to set something high enough as to not be annoying and yet at the same time prevent &#039;user error&#039; in terms of good course design.]]></description>

This can only be a bad thing, and result in huge course pages which are SLOW.
And that just frustrates Teachers, and even more importantly, Students.
Personally, I would set maxsections to a hard 100.]]></description>
