MySQL Reporting in Moodle

1st April saw our first run of MoodleBites MySQL Reporting in Moodle for 2014.

This is a completely online course which helps administrators and advanced technically-minded teachers to develop MySQL queries for their Moodle site.

The course is technical in nature, so it’s quite a challenge to make using the command line interesting!  However, we ran this course twice in 2013, and the feedback was really amazing, some of the most positive we’ve ever had for a new course (and this was from “techies” who are often a little slow to give praise! lol).

For this course we’ve got participants from New Zealand, Australia, Italy, USA, UK, Norway, Canada, Oman, and some other countries – so it should be a fascinating discussion too – it’s amazing how much you find out about other countries and cultures in an online course like this!  I think our international audience really does create a deeper and more enjoyable experience for all smile

This time I’ve also got the amazing Teresa Gibbison working with me as co-facilitator – so that promises to be fun !
