I’m definitely sceptical about AI.
I think “the best” it can do is amazing – and in the arenas of science and healthcare for example has so much to offer.
But from what I see the power of Ai is being used for pointless image manipulation, video processing, writing awful music, and other ‘entertainment’.
As an Apple user I’m also concerned with all the effort being put into AI, and it’s deep integration with the operating system. It’s OK on my phone, but I don’t want it on the computer I use for music production for example.
I don’t know where it’s all heading, but I hope there are real benefits, and not just shiny new things we never really needed.
