With a bit of PHP knowledge many people can start learning Moodle development skills…
There’s no way around it, Moodle development is about writing code.
We have found there are generally two groups of people interested in learning about Moodle development:
- The second group are not developers, but administrators, teachers, general IT people. They may know a little PHP, but don’t call themselves programmers or developers. Usually they are keen to learn more, so they can do things on their Moodle site that usually only developers could do.
Our MoodleBites for Developers course works well for both groups, existing developers will find it fairly straightforward, whilst non-developers will of course find it more demanding.
We’ve actually created a free pre-developer course, which you can use to check whether you are ready for the Level 1 – try it here: https://www.moodlebites.com/enrol/index.php?id=228
