Moodle plugin of the month – Basic course search

The course search function within Moodle works just fine, but what if you wanted to position and style this in a different way? This is one of the most simple plugin Blocks we’ve seen recently, but it’s actually incredibly useful in the right scenario !

Instead of having the course search feature sometime hidden below a long list of Categories, Courses, and other elements, or taking up valuable screen real estate at the top, this plugin allows you to relocate the standard Moodle course search feature within a Block.

The Block has some flexibility too, and can be added to the site Homepage, or to the Dashboard.

Because it uses the core course renderer to output the form, you can override the layout in your Theme so it is visual integrated 🙂

It’s small, simple, but might be just what you need !
