Te Haahi Mihingare

Ākonga from throughout Te Pihopatanga o Te Tai Tokerau enjoy whanaungatanga with each other and are equipped for ministry within their whānau, kāinga, marae and their hāhi.

Ōrongonui courses are supported using Moodle, and have the Turnitin plagiarism plugin for verifying learners Moodle assignment submissions.

Deliveries of Ōrongonui courses are at Te Karaiti te Aranga in Kamo beginning with Hui Raumati in January, followed by 4 weekend Hui Hiranga and 2 weekend Wānanga-i-Te Reo. Block courses are held for other workshops.

There are also voluntary Hui Rāranga every Tuesday at Kamo and every Thursday at Mangere, where ākonga may whakawhanaunga and receive tutorial assistance.

HRDNZ (certified Moodle Partner since 2006) are working with Ōrongonui to provide a safe, secure, and easy-to-use e-learning Moodle environment. The Moodle installation was simplified as much as possible, with many modules, blocks, and non essential functionality disabled, to provide a super-simple interface, and reduce complexity for learners with limited IT skills.
