Course copy coming in Moodle 3.9
A real time saving feature.
Every term, semester, or year, it’s likely that you need to make a copy of an existing course, usually to start afresh with a new version, and archive the old version.
For those of us working with Moodle constantly we have a muscle memory in our fingers that replays how to do this. We know how to make a Backup, and Restore, and go from there. We also know which options to use.
But Moodle 3.9 should make life easier for everyone by introducing a new course copy feature.
Copying courses should be possible from either the context menu on the course page, by select “Copy course”, or by using the “course and category management” screen ( Site administration > Courses > Manage courses and categories).
It’s hoped that this will really speed up the work undertaken when getting ready for a new schools year, or semester of study, and provide a more flexible option for this type of regular operation.
