iPads in education – balance

I wanted to balance the article from a couple of days ago.

Research from Otago University (in my adoptive country of New Zealand) has some interesting findings. I encourage you to read the full paper which doesn’t take too long.

Full article here: https://www.otago.ac.nz/cdelt/otago065453.pdf

The findings revealed that teachers in the study made use of the iPad in four key ways: as a relational tool, as a communicative tool, as a documentation tool, and, finally as an informational tool for supporting child-led learning.

This study, like many others, seems slanted towards the opinion that ‘technology is good’ and only the positive impacts of this technology are explored.
