Meet Ruth – ElearningWorld writer
Ruth Horak is one of our newer writers – but has plenty to share!
Based in Denmark since 1998, Ruth is an Educational Technology Consultant and has been a teacher of Danish as a 2nd Language at Københavns Sprogcenter (although she is a native German speaker, and also proficient in English and Norwegian).
Her specialties and areas of interest include alternative pathways of learning, method development, adult education, ICT, Moodle (of course!), gamification, teaching, design & development of teaching material, project development & management.
The thread running through Ruth’s worklife is her constant search and interest for innovative, alternative methodological approaches. She describes her approach to work, and maybe life in general, as ambitious, curious, persistent, experimenting and playful.
Ruth gained her Master’s degree in 1997 from University of Vienna with bilateral scholarships to the University of Oslo and Copenhagen for her results, and her Moodle Course Creator Certificate (MCCC) in 2017.
