Plugin of the month – Course usage statistics

There are numerous plugin reports for Moodle – and some provide an interesting overview of how Teachers are using courses…This is a Moodle report plugin that helps the Administrator understand how courses are being used by Teachers (e.g. mainly forums, mainly file repositories, or with lots of activities).

Developed by the Federal University of Lavras in Brazil, they believe that knowledge about the courses usage is important because this may help improve the strategies of training staff about the possibilities available in Moodle.

There are other more extensive and configurable plugins reports for Moodle, sure.  But perhaps the strength of this one is that Administrators can quickly gain an overview of how courses are really being used, in a very straightforward and uncomplicated way.
