Podcasts for learning
What type of podcasts work best for learning?
Leading up to the re-launch of the ElearningWorld podcast we were reflecting on the types of podcasts, and the ways people use them.
Personally I listen to podcasts for 3 main reasons:
- News – e.g. BBC (being from the UK originally it keeps me connected to what’s happening there)
- Entertainment – I enjoy political satire such as The Bugle, and The News Quiz
- Technology – I often pick up new information from Mac Geek Gab, and MacWorld
- General – my favourites being the Skeptics Guide to the Universe, and Stuff you should know
I guess our own ElearningWorld podcast tries to borrow some of the best ideas and approaches of the above to guide our own production.
