Dig into Digital: Focus on H5P

I keep learning how to use H5P. I learn from both writers on ElearningWorld (thanks for that!) and others (to mention but one example, the “H5P: Ask and share” group on Facebook). On this post, I would like to show good use of H5P in the framework of the K-12 Dig into Digital Moodle Templates in Israel (I have been writing about these templates for the past few months. See here).

As I have explained, The English Department, Israel Ministry of Education Counselors, and teachers have joined forces with the Ministry of Education Technology Department people to create Moodle Templates (Courses) that teachers all over Israel can get copies of to use with their pupils (all for free, of course, because this is State Education). In all the templates, H5P plays a major role.

Note: I have NOT done the H5P work l show. I just show it in case somebody is interested and sees possibilities anywhere.

If you are a teacher in another country, perhaps you can get an idea of how to do something similar in your country. It is a question of starting a movement.

To help colleagues in Israel give The Dig into Digital Moodle Templates a try, I publish Smore newsletters such as this one on the use of H5P in the different courses.

Regards from Israel!

  • Great post !
H5P is certainly making waves with teachers now.
I wish the H5P integration with Moodle was better, and Moodle hadn’t made it’s own version of H5P.
