OSX Yosemite

I’m a big user of Apple technology (no Microsoft Windows here!)

The recent release of Mac OS X Yosemite brought a whole number of improvements and enhancements, but the four that caught me eye, and have improved my personal computer life are:

  • Notification centre is now much more useful, and editable.
  • Spotlight search is incredibly quick, AND show previews (inc movies)
  • Mail enables you to annotate images – great for screenshots explaining things
  • Handoff means I can start to answer an email on my iPhone, and then hand it off to the MacBook Air for completion

Although I dislike the fact that the iTunes icon is now red … it’s been blue for years(!) … why change? everything else in Yosemite is great, and I’d encourage others to upgrade.  (Although don’t upgrade the iCloud Drive unless all your Apple devices are upgraded to Yosemite or iOS 8).
