Mini Moodle Magic – courseid

Did you know every course on a Moodle site has a unique ID number that makes it easy to find ?

Yes it’s true, every Moodle course has a unique id number, that will never (usually) change.

This number can then be used to quickly link to a course.  The format of courseid’s is:

http://www.websitename.com/course/view.php?id=X

So an actual real world example would be:

http://www.moodlebites.com/course/view.php?id=60

Usually the home page of the site will be courseid 1 (which is logical!)

It’s only the number at the end that changes for each course on your site 🙂

Do you know your courseid numbers(s) ?
